Conveyancing is the legal work of moving a home from one owner to another. A solicitor or conveyancer checks the legal paperwork for the property, asks the local council and others about anything that could affect it, prepares the contracts, moves the money safely on the day you move, and records you as the new owner on the official register of who owns what (HM Land Registry, in England and Wales).
Are there any hidden fees?

When you type the property's postcode we check the public record live: HM Land Registry, the Energy Performance Certificate register, Environment Agency data and Ordnance Survey. Anything it knows (tenure, year built, last sale price, flood risk) is filled in for you, so the form is shorter and the quotes price the actual property.
